See, fashion isn’t all shallow- fashion shows are widely used to raise awareness of issues like cancer, HIV, and more. In Japan, the Aging Lifestyle Research Center held a fashion show to raise awareness of issues concerning the country’s rapid rate of aging. No better way to do that than model adult diapers (also known as nappies in countries other than the U.S.) They even danced to “Relax” a la Zoolander.
“A lot of people make mistakes when choosing diapers,” said Hamada. “We can make it so people no longer feel uneasy about taking care of old people.”
Thanks, Hamada. Old people need love, too.
