Consider | The Timberland Boot
With the cold weather showing no signs of letting up, boots seem to be all the rage right now. Not just boots, but Red Wings in particular, seem to be the choice for the fashion forward man. And for good reason: they’re classics, they’re leather, and I heard the shoes come with extra polish to touch up any worn scuffs or marks (I wouldn’t know. I’ve never owned a pair.) There’s only one drawback to all that value. Red Wings are expensive as hell. Every waterproof boot from Red Wings I’ve seen are usually over $200.
I would offer a more reasonable alternative. Timberland has been around for quite some time now. The picture above is from their Earthkeeper’s collection. If you’re interested in keeping your feet warm, dry, and looking like some thought was put in to your boot selection, then these will do the job. At $160, I would say that the pricing is reasonable. My bigger point is to consider Timberlands for your boot needs. Forget that they aggressively cater to the hip-hop community and sacrifice some brand integrity in that regard. If you search diligently enough through their offerings, you will be sure to find a boot that does not leave you wondering how you’re going to pay for your next meal. I found a $50 pair of duck boots that look like they are worth more than every penny I paid for them, which I’ll post later.
