Celebrities at New York Fashion Week Pt. 3
Kanye West, Fonzworth Bentley, Taz Arnold, and crew
One man’s trash is another woman’s treasure. While this aphorism loosely applies to up and coming to the Litter Headpiece makers, their products are far from trash. The accessories channel a certain quality that had been lost in the days of Greek mythology. Not only that, it is a great way to dress up any outfit. My favorites are their toolbox-inspired jewelry. Are we seeing a new twist on workwear?

Jessica Stam and Michelle Trachtenberg
No words. Just picture of people more famous than us having the time of their lives. But I do like a good Harriet The Spy picture from time to time. Michelle Trachtenburg was my first celebrity crush.

The Black Buoy Goes Live
If you guys were impressed with the Lola NY and Max & Suzanne lookbooks, then you’ll be happy to hear that their online retailer, The Black Buoy has just gone live. The products are personally out of TSC’s price range, but for our more affluent readers (Note: if you are affluent and read this blog, I would like to speak with you, mostly about how I can become affluent), we’ve got a little something for you that will sweeten the deal. Get 15% off your first purchase. Your $60 Lola T-shirt will now go for $51. But if you’re anything like us, you’re more likely to check out the $5 vintage matchbooks, the terrorist trading cards, the cheese spray, and my personal favorite, the set-of-4 nude playing cards. Scandalous is timeless.

Celebrities at New York Fashion Week Pt. 1
Katie Lee Joel and fashion designer Yigal Azrouel at the Royalton Penthouse
Sooooo being a fashion blog, we get a lot of mail in the inbox regarding…you guessed it…New York Fashion Week. And right now, as Fashion Week is currently going on in The Big Apple, I’m sure there are a lot of parties, fashion shows, celebrity sightings, models that we’re missing out on. Everyday this week is a constant reminder of exactly all the events that we’re absent from and all the fun that we’re missing out on. One day…we’ll get there, but right now, I’m trying to take my mind off the fact that there’s really not much going on in the Bay Area. I’m sure I do fine ignoring NYFW until someone sends me pictures of a high profile celebrity mingling with a high profile fashion editor at a high profile posh fashion party. Then I think, why would my readers or I be into this? Ironically, that’s exactly what we try to do here at TSC when we periodically attempt to capture ourselves immersed in San Francisco party culture.
Then I ask, “Can we at least see where they’re partying so I can get a feel for what I’m missing out on?” And that is how we have come up with “Celebrities at New York Fashion Week,” an undiscriminatory posting of celebrities at parties as it shows up in our inbox and through no particular choosing of our own.

Cole Haan Sporting Collection
Air Caprice Strap
Cole Haan has just launched its collaborative effort with Nike. Targeted at those who live a dynamic lifestyle, the products are Nike technology on the inside and Cole Haan on the outside. I wish I could make a mullet joke that was appropriate, but there aren’t any available right now. On the other hand, there are great pieces that combine style and function. The collection is currently in an ad campaign with Maria Sharapova. I can’t think of anyone at the moment who has a more active lifestyle.
In addition, all the products are made up of bionic yarn, containing 30%-60% fibers made from recycled plastic bottles. You get to buy a nice bag and improve our nation’s energy policy! Well how about that?

944 Young Hollywood Issue Release Party
Last Thursday, Alexander, Diana, and I attended the 944 Young Hollywood Issue Release party at the Sugar Cafe. The covers of the new issue included Adam Gregory (Hannah Montana: The Movie), Nora Zehetner (Heroes), Nikki Reed (Twilight), and more up and coming Hollywood stars. The whole bar was flourished in Valentine’s Day decorations and ironically, the drinks of the night were provided by Pink Vodka, free until 9. While Alexander was taking care of that, I was enjoying the free whore durves. Bacon wrapped sausages, crab cakes, and chocolate covered strawberries. The night officially marked our first night out to a party since 2009 started.
You can check out more pictures of the party at 944.com, but we’re not in any of them so why we give a hootinanny about that?
Oh wait we are in there! (Hint: behind the window)
