• Omega’s First Flagship Boutique

We weren’t there, but we wish we were.  Omega has just opened its first flagship boutique on 5th Avenue this past Saturday.  In honor of this event and also the event of the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing (Who knows why they’re celebrating this?), the new limited edition Platinum Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 Moonwatch will initially be available exclusively at the New York City boutique.  Also, the original OMEGA watch worn by JFK, which the new launch is modeled after, will be exclusively displayed at the store.  I’m a sucker for interior design, and Omega has it in spades.  Gold walls, white everything else, ummm…plants, funky chairs, and of course, they’re prestigious watches on display.

Check out pics of the store after the jump…

when i had to get a watch to replace one that i lost recently, i ended up learning way too much about the luxury watch options out there. this is definitely one of the brands that will elude my budget for many more years…

    Ditto to Miss Sophie
I am a watch enthusiast (more for design than name brand), however, I find that I am extremely restrained by my budget.

Yep, luxury watches are as real as porn these days.

*sigh* If only I had the money… I have yet to invest in a quality timepiece, but I plan to before I have kids, so I can pass it down to them one day.
