Styling the Modern Man @ The W Hotel
Me and Vernon Davis of The San Francisco 49ers
Last Thursday, I had the chance to stop by “Styling the Modern Man” at the W Hotel. Styling The Modern Man was a celebration of the contemporary gentleman and all of his interests. For lack of a better comparison, it was like walking into a GQ magazine. The decorum was a modern day bachelor pad filled with lounge chairs, bars, and dim lighting. The appetizers were the type you spread hummus on. I was feeling quite manly to say the least. The event was hosted by TSC friends Charleston Pierce and Phillip Gums, and Vernon Davis of the SF 49ers.
The amenities of the night included free haircuts, free drinks, home entertainment systems, and a gala upstairs. The night was a lot of fun and I met a lot of great people.
Special thanks to Shaun of Graffiti PR.

This was a eyebrow waxing booth. And while I don’t mess with my brows much, I’m slowly accepting that it is part of the contemporary gentleman’s culture.
These pics are from a lounge designed by David Mast. I had the chance to speak with David and he’s very passionate about interior design, which really translates into his work. The bachelor pad has not really lived up to its representations in men’s magazines. David Mast helps men achieve that design aesthetic for those that don’t know what’s out there.
This one took the cake for me. It was called “The Chill Pod.”
