    The Good Ole Days…

Whoa, this thing actually brought me back about 20 years or so. It’s amazing what can entertain a kid, like watching a moving picture over and over again. Kids will never have toys like these again. What you know about Creepy Crawlers, Lite Brite, or Skip It?

    Transformers Vs. Turbo Teen

In honor of this weekend’s movie premiere, I thought this was appropriate.

    The September Issue

This might actually be interesting. I know I’m interested.

Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine for twenty years, is the most powerful and polarizing figure in fashion. Hidden behind her trademark bob and sunglasses, she has never allowed anyone to scrutinize the inner workings of her magazine. Until now. With unprecedented access, filmmaker R.J. Cutler’s new film THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE does for fashion what he did for politics in The War Room, taking the viewer inside a world they only think they know.

[LOLads] “When you look away, it’s a dude punchin’ a lady.”

Amnesty International has installed a new anti-domestic-abuse ad fixture in Hamburg, Germany which is equal parts clever and shocking: when you look at the photo, it’s a smiling couple; when you look away, it’s a dude punchin’ a lady.

So smart, it makes you feel bad and somewhat complacent. I hate when ads do that.

    T-Sweezy

I don’t know why this makes me laugh, and I’m a little late to the party. The lyrics aren’t necesssarily groundbreakingly funny. But I think it’s amusing to see Taylor Swift attempt to poke fun at herself. People said I absolutely HAVE to listen to her stuff and that her lyrics are beyond her years. I don’t listen to radio, so this girl completely fell under my radar.

This video, however, put her right on. I can respect for artists who try to up their Black people cred (i.e. John Mayer and Chester French) It just means that they don’t take themselves too seriously, and that’s excellent PR. So I guess I’ll give her a listen one of these days. Country music chills my willies, though.
