Come Back, Corinne

I really hope you guys are enjoying our mood music. It’s our conscious effort to reach to you on a more personal level. Even though we’re not necessarily a music blog, that shouldn’t stop us from offering you the type of sh*t we’re on, which is, in our opinion, some really great music.
But that’s not what this post is about. In the year 2006, there was only one British
singer songbird who got me in the mood. And that was Corinne Bailey Rae. Her breathy voice and the way she teetered between innocent and suggestive wordplay were a couple of reasons 2006 was a great year in music.
At the time, Young Dro was getting really big as well. Dare I say, she was the Young Dro of Neo-soul? (HA!)
But in 2008, tragedy struck her in 2008 when her husband died and she’s been off the radar since then.
Well it’s 2009, three years since her 1st album, and I think it’s time her fans get SOMETHING. An album, a song, a retirement announcement. The book has been opened but it hasn’t been closed yet. I believe that someone of Corinne’s talent should not release a groundbreaking album and then disappear into thin air. It’s just wrong and irresponsible (playing.)
In all seriousness, wherever you are, Corinne, come back. We miss you.
If anyone has any info on her, let us know. I read her official website but I wasn’t satisfied.
