I mean, ogling at her will never get old. She might get old in 10 or 20 years or so. This is her magazine spread for Esquire if you couldn’t tell by their superfluous watermark. Red background, red watermelon, red hair. They’re really try to play this ginger, thing aren’t they?

    Esquire Introducing the Perfect Man

On April 10th, Esquire magazine is introducing the first ever mix-n-match magazine cover. Girls (and men) can now make thier perfect man choosing from the features of some of America’s best in show. I am not in it (I watched the video twice to make sure), but they’ve got some handsome candidates in there.

Dexter: He’s Got A Way With Murder

After devouring seasons 1 and 2 of Dexter, I eagerly anticipated the third. A quick check on the Dexter website resulted in this Shepard Fairey poster. Dexter’s marketing campaign attempts to go for the relevance route with their advertisements and it succeeds tremendously. Of course, Showtime is never one to hesitate in the creativity of their marketing. The poster above has got to be the cream of the crop by featuring the artist who made the biggest buzz during this election season. The other advertisements do not fall short at all. In an age where print media is in a decline, the Dexter adaptations reveal how their long-lasting presence on newsstands still have a presence and a certain power over its readers. And you have to appreciate the logic inherent in the ads. By creating adaptations of publications that are at the forefront of fashion, news, and technology, the viewer is at the forefront of all these things by watching this show, even though the show has nothing to do with fashion, news, or technology.

I found this piece on who’s responsible for all these ads…

This photo from Esquire, featuring writer Nam Le, is no doubt taking its inspiration from Old Boy. And for those of you who’ve seen Old Boy, you why this is messed up.

What kind of lunatic launches a luxury brand in a recession?

It’s not like we planned it this way, but it actually kind of helps. The person that I’m making clothes for doesn’t want to wear the same thing as everyone else, and so our biggest advantage is that we can be exclusive. If a man’s wearing Benjamin Bixby, you know he’s in the know.

Any thoughts on buying clothes in tough times?

Buy things that you love. Buy things that are never going to go out of style, and that you can wash for ten years and still have it be your favorite. And remember that the way you present yourself counts a lot.

Esquire Covers 75 Years of Men’s Fashion

Esquire has a chronological album outlining the evolution of men’s style for the past 75 years. I decided to post the pictures when men’s fashion reached incredible heights, and when men’s fashion fell to disgusting and depressing lows. I also omitted formal wear from the equation.

And so it begins with a bang.
