    [Seen at Prostituted Thoughts]

Well, I’m sure not a lot of people are, but this new app might convince you that there’s a silver lining (well more of a flesh-toned lining) with your stock going down.

It’s a new app by Puma called the Puma Index. The app follows your stock. As the stock goes down, the skirts and the pants drop as well, all the way down to the models’ Puma-endorsed undies.

It’s not “I Am T-Pain” but it could be worse I guess.

    Puma + 60 Years Old = Cougar?

It’s about time that Puma try to pick up on men half her age. If you guys remember, I attended the Puma’s “I am 60″ Birthday Party, not to be confused with Puma’s “I fart unwillingly” Birthday Party or Puma’s “I now eat Centrum” Birthday Party. I got to chill backstage with Vimby and they finally put up their video of the event. Please check out the video and watch Puma’s undoubtedly strongest hipster turnout.

Puma “I Am 60″ Party with DJ Steve Aoki and Lady Gaga

Last Tuesday I made it out to Puma’s “I Am 60″ Party at the Great American Music Hall. I must say San Francisco is notorious for keeping abreast of the latest up and coming artists. Lady Gaga and DJ Steve Aoki were no exception. The line reached all the way to the end of the block and the house ended up being packed. When we first entered, DJ Tina T was spinning some very tasteful mash-ups including a dance version of “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” by the Bone Thugs. While the crowd waits for Aoki and Gaga, lots of jumping occurs, breaker circles are formed, and a couple of women are hoisted up on the shoulders of their boyfriends to check out…nothing because Steve Aoki hasn’t come out yet. AND THEN he arrives with his booming techno music and his bottle of Grey Goose at his hands. We heard the man is totally sober but we most certainly saw him pour the contents of the bottle down the throats of those in front row. And then it was off to backstage.

Lady Gaga with weapons of mass destruction on her head and shoulder. Here are a couple of interesting tidbits. I scored a free sandwich and I got to hear Lady Gaga warm up her vocals backstage. Stuff like that makes my night.

Special thanks to Michelle of IPR

[LOLAds] Fake Puma, Real Patrick Cox, Circa 2003-ish

In this new segment we look at crazy (and sometimes mildly disturbing) fashion ads from years past! The following turned out to be fake. Or, actually, it was designed by an actual ad creative who tried to push it onto PUMA, who then said, “Uh, no.”

Um … yeah. The ice cream on her leg was probably the dealbreaker … she should stop eating so much ice cream. Puma does not promote ice cream and its contributions to American obesity.

This one, however, was real and appeared in i-D:

Considering that it is the week of “08-08-08,” it was only fitting that we mention fashion’s marriage to sports. Forbes writes a brief commentary on the connection between the fashion world and the Olympic games.

“Fashion and sports have a lot to give to each other,” says Ligaya Salazar, the show’s curator. “Fashion has the freedom of creativity, while sportswear has the knowledge of the best fabrics to make items functional.”
